| It was sub zero weather during our stay in early March and the cosy warm room was a welcome retreat at the end of the day. The hotel was under renovation, which it needed so when it's complete it will be an even better place to stay. For the price we thought it was good value, the staff were very friendly. We especially enjoyed going to their resturant, Red River which had a cowboy theme, food was great and inexpensive, with massive portions! They should advertise this better on their webpage. We walked to all the major sights, but you could get a tram just metres from the front door if you wished. We made our own way to and from the airport using the local transport, which we wouldn't have done if it wasn't for the tram stop being so close to the hotel. We managed it easily even with a pushchair and 2 suitcases. |

| Het hotel ligt centraal in de oude wijk, vlakbij de Aya Sofia, Blauwe Moskee en Topkapi paleis. Tram rijdt voor de deur richting Galata en Taksim. Kamer netjes en schoon en ontbijtbuffet uitgebreid met standaard items. Leuke bar direct naast het hotel (via binnendoor te bereiken) en ook de barbier is direct binnendoor bereikbaar. Inrichting hotel en kamer gedateerd maar verder wel in orde. Wij zaten op de 5e etage en dat scheelt denk ik wel voor het geluid vanaf de straat (tram voor de deur maar die stopt om 00.00 uur). | Et veldig sentralt og greit hotell for sightseeing i Istanbul. 200 meter til trikkeholdeplass og hyggelig liten bar/restaurant i første etasje. |

| The walls were painted a restful green, the drapes were colorful. This helped make the room comfortable and cheery. Nice breakfast buffet with good variety of choices. Hotel is located approximately mid-point between the major tourist area, Sultanahmet , and the dock area, Eminonu. One can easily walk to both. |

| If you're traveling light, this is the place. Right where the ancient sites are like Blue Mosque. It's close to tram station (actually the tram line goes in front of the hotel). No vehicles allowed on street in front though so you have to walk but not too far. |

| A well known hotel very popular with those staying on a budget.
Ultimately you get what you pay for, it's cheap so you don't expect The Ritz. Book with this in mind and you will be very happy here. Sure the shower floods the bathroom floor a bit, the toilet flush is a bit cranky, there's no safe or kettle in the room etc, However it's clean, the air con works well, the staff are helpful and the breakfast buffet is extensive.
What gives this place the extra star is the perfect location, within easy walking distance to most of the major sights in the Old Town, the river, the baths, the markets, the station, the ferries, the tram etc. It's handily situated on a shopping street with supermarkets nearby and the double glazed windows cut out any Istanbul bustle and noise. |
