| It was not a bad hotel comparing with its price. There was a free open buffet breakfast, which was good. The room was really small than I was expecting. The bed was kind of twin bed. |

| A imagem frontal do Hotel que aparece inicialmente nao condiz com a realidade; Trata se de uma rua apertada, com mesas e bares por toda a calcada, assim como sao quase todas em Istambul. A localizacao compensa, pois fica em um dos bairros mais famosos, com varias atratividades ao redor. |

| old room, in-wall air conditioner, twin bed. shower didn't have any walls, only curtain going to floor, so floor would be soaked after shower. wireless available, but only in lobby. i'd say this was a 2.5 star hotel. i'd stay there again because it was so cheap and a good location. decent breakfast too. but i wouldn't invite any girls back to my room at this place ;o) |

| Rimelig god til prisen
dog var værelserne meget små.
Der mangler plads til kufferter og der kunne ønskes noget mere hyldeplads på badeværelset. |

| Kort vei til Grand Bazar, Sofia Hagi og de største severdighetene. Beliggende tre minutter fra trikkesporet var alltid hotellet enkelt finne. Enkel og fin frokost, og hyggelig betjening. Ikke benytt restaurantene like utenfor hotellet, ta heller en15 minutters spasertur til mer sentrale strøk, eller opp til trikkelinja. |

| Das Hotel liegt ca. 10min zu Fuss vom Grossen Basar, vielen Restaurants und Bars, der Blauen Moschee und der Hagia Sophia entfernt. Die nächste Tram Station erreicht man in 5min. Das Gässchen zur Tramstation ist allerdings ziemlich steil, mit Kinderwagen bzw. bei schlechter Gesundheit nicht zu empfehlen. Die Angestellten waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind nicht ganz neu und weisen einige Abnützungen (Badezimmer etc.) auf. Die Sauberkeit war in Ordnung, je nachdem, was für Erwartungen man in ein 3-Sterne-Hotel hat. Das Bett wurde täglich gemacht und neue Hand-/Duschtücher plaziert. Die Dachterrasse kann von den Gästen benützt werden und man hat Sicht auf das Marmarameer. Das Frühstück ist einfach gehalten und typisch türkisch (Brot, Käse, Yoghurt, Honig, Tomaten, Gurken, Kaffee). Insgesamt stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis des Hotels. |

| Located a couple of blocks from the Çemberlitaş tram stop in Istanbul's touristy Sultanahmet district, the Sunlight is convenient except for a rather steep hill which is more an annoyance than an impediment if you're hauling heavy luggage. Rooms are clean but basic. Friendly staff, a/c. Make sure you have a map, as the street names are rarely posted. The hotel seems to be located right next to a mosque, so prepare to hear the call to prayer at sunrise! Overall, decent value for price. |

| Nothing bad to say about the hotel. The room was nice for the price, with clean bathroom and other facilities. The hotel in general was quite good, especially liked the view from the upper floor terrace over the Marmara Sea. Breakfast was ok, although not very special. |

| Nach vielen negativen Erfahrungsberichten über Hotels und Hostels in Istanbul, war ich beim buchen äußerst Vorsichtig und bin mit recht niedrigen Erwartungen angereist. Allerdings konnte ich beim gewählten Hotel keine der vielfach erwähnten schwächen vorfinden. Die Zimmer waren sauber, gut ausgestattet und das Frühstück sehr gut (Es gab verschiedene Käse der Region, Oliven, Eier, verschiedenes Weißbrot, wenig Wurst, und neben Tee und Kaffee noch ein süßliches Orangengetränk). Das Personal im Hotel war äußerst hilfsbereit und freundlich. Beispielsweise konnten wir auf Nachfrage einen Drucker an der Rezeption nutzen um unsere Boardkarte zu drucken und unser Gepäck konnten wir nach dem Auschecken ebenfalls noch bis zum Abend im Hotel belassen. Ich würde in jedem Fall das Hotel wieder wählen (Es liegt in der Altstadt, nicht an der Partymeile in der Neustadt), weil der Standort ruhig und die Tram sehr nahe ist. |
